Stainless Steel 301 Tubing is an austenitic stainless steel composed primarily of iron, chromium (16–18%), and nickel (6–8%), with low carbon content for good corrosion resistance. It offers moderate strength in the annealed condition and significantly higher strength when cold worked. Typical tensile strength ranges from 515–930 MPa, with yield strength between 205–410 MPa depending on processing. The tubing maintains good ductility, toughness, and fatigue resistance, making it suitable for dynamic applications requiring flexibility combined with high mechanical performance.
