This composition delivers good strength, hardness, and wear resistance while maintaining moderate corrosion resistance. Typical tensile strength ranges from 515–750 MPa, with yield strength around 275–345 MPa. Stainless Steel 201 also offers good formability and toughness, especially in cold-worked conditions. While its corrosion resistance is lower than 304, it performs well in dry or mild environments where cost efficiency and mechanical strength are key requirements.
