Monel 400 Tubing is made up of about 63% nickel and 28–34% copper, along with small amounts of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. This solid-solution alloy isn’t hardenable through heat treatment, but it boasts excellent mechanical properties, including a tensile strength of up to 550 MPa and a yield strength of around 240 MPa, with an elongation of up to 35%. It retains toughness and ductility across a wide temperature range and shows exceptional resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, alkalis, and stress-corrosion cracking.
