SMO 254 tubing is produced from a super austenitic stainless steel alloy containing approximately 20% chromium, 18% nickel, and 6% molybdenum, with nitrogen additions for enhanced strength. This alloy composition delivers outstanding resistance to chloride-induced corrosion and chemical attack. Mechanically, SMO 254 tubing offers high tensile strength, excellent yield strength, and good ductility. It retains toughness and structural integrity at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for high-pressure and aggressive service conditions.
