Stainless Steel 410 Tubing is a martensitic stainless steel with 11.5–13.5% chromium and a higher level of carbon that makes it heat-treatable for increased hardness and strength. It generally has a tensile strength of 700–950 MPa and yield strength of around 275 MPa. This type has good resistance to corrosion in relatively mild aggressive conditions and outstanding resistance to scaling, wear, and oxidation when hardened. While less corrosion-resistant than austenitic grades, it provides a good combination of strength, toughness, and moderate corrosion resistance for use in structural and mechanical applications.
